This page says what data AltPane and this website handle, and what they do not.
In short
The AltPane app does not collect or send any data about you. This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The only personal data we receive comes from your purchase or from a message you write to us.
The app
AltPane contains no analytics or crash-reporting code and does not check for updates by itself. It makes a network connection only when you ask it to, for example when you open an SFTP, FTP or WebDAV server or a network share, or when you click a link that opens your web browser.
Your files, bookmarks and settings stay on your Mac.
This website
When you open a page, the company that hosts the site receives your IP address and the details of your request, as every web server does. We use them only to deliver and protect the site.
If you pick a language with the language menu, the site stores that choice in one cookie named lang for one year, so that it can show you the same language next time. It holds nothing else and it is not used to follow you. If you never use the menu, no cookie is set.
When you buy
Payment is handled by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record. It collects what it needs to take your payment, such as your card details, name, billing country and email address. We never see your full card number.
We receive from the provider the information needed to deliver your download and to help you, such as your email address and the details of your order. We keep it for as long as we need it to give support, to handle refunds and to meet legal and tax duties.
When you write to us
We use your message and your email address only to answer you, and we keep them for as long as the question is open and for a reasonable time afterwards.
Who else sees your data
Only the payment provider and the hosting provider described above. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to support@twtender.com. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the date at the top changes too.
